Hello all my sister & brother Netters, I made it home last night from the U of Chicago Hospital switching from the "crazy hospital environment to my private home nurse--my husband. I am heading for bed now but had to first talk to you all and tell you how much all your letters, love, support, etc. my netter family has been for and to me. I never realized how lucky we are!! One tidbit I have to share with you and then I will explain the incredible disasters, but wonderful miricles that also occured at a later time. I am presently sitting here with "our edema remedy" cabbage leaves across my eye and the entire right side of my incision and head. IT REALLY IS WORKING. Can you imagine me explaining that one to the chief of neuro and neuro-surgery,. I think I would be headed towards the lock-up ward. Except for a massive headache, I think things are going well. Dr. Tom Hale, I have a quick question for you later if you are still in town. They really have been playing around with my meds. I was suppose to have a post op MIR done at U of C, but of course they never could fit me in because of the celebrities ie.- the star in the movie SPEED was in there for a long time, explained to me "an emergency, Pat you just have to wait". I'm going to go to bed and try to be a "good patient" for my husband. I am really looking forward to talking to you all again and I promise to respond to all my e-mail now. A whole month off. Can you believe it??? I hear your voice Jan Barger---"Pat, take it easy" Thanks. Love to you all, Pat Bull, RN, IBCLC/The Breastfeeding Connection (708) 420-2172 754 Raintree Dr. Naperville, IL 60540 [log in to unmask]
