I recently was speaking to a friend who was telling me about a new technique called "brushing" where children with ADD are brushed vigorously with a surgical brush on the backs of the hands and arms, legs and torso back. I may not have this exactly correct. I have asked for the references. This technique is used in place of medication and was reported to be successful. Wouldn't it be great to have a non-pharmaceutical way of centering this children??? Martha Brower RD LD IBCLC (we hear the strangest stuff in Ohio!!)
