This is one of those issues that has not been resolved.  I do know that in
the AAP News (or Pediatrics, I don't rightly remember which now) there was
some argument about the possibility that iron fortified abm could interfere
with the lactoferrin in the br milk.  As I recall, Larry Gartner spoke up in
favor of keeping the low iron abm just for that reason.  I think the jury is
still out on it, but in our pediatric practice, if a mother must supplement
(for whatever reason) as long as the baby is receiving brmilk the peds ask
her to use lo iron.  Just in case.  (Don't we all do everything just in
case?)
