Apologies if I've written this already -- sometimes my brain is made of
Swiss cheese. The September 1995 issue of HEALTH Magazine has a good story
on breast implants called "Farewell Perfect Breasts: A Tale of Body-Image in
Post-Implant America." This article, unlike the one in Texas Monthly, does
mention what breasts are for and has a good discussion of the pressures on
ordinary women to have larger breasts. It also mentions how to get implants
that will interfere least with breastfeeding.
