Joy's case sounded funny (strange, not ha-ha) to me. Primary herpes, in both my experience and according to ped I consulted), is usually pretty hairy. This baby just didn't sound sick enough. When one of my kids was about 2, he had primary herpes in his mouth. He refused to eat and cried a lot (and he was not a fussy baby). The ped found that his mouth was full of ulcers and he recommended antibiotic (don't remember what) for gingivitis. My kid was definitely sick. In my opinion, a second opinion or even a third is definitely in order for Joy's case. Judy K. in Israel
