Ginny Jones: You posted about a women experiencing a dry nasal passage. You described honey crusting in her nose. As a nurse practitioner, any time I hear "honey crusted lesion" I have to think impetigo. Perhaps she experienced dryness in her nose, scratched it and developed an infection. Our hands and nails are covered with the bacteria that causes impetigo. If, in fact she does have honey crusted lesions, she should get it checked out medically, as she will most likely need antibiotic ointment if it is Impetigo. Elaine Webber
