Sorry about the interuption I had to take care of a little one. I just wanted to add that it is expected that a baby will be weaned by age one in Japan. Breastfeeding longer than that is uncommon but the general population seems impressed by someone who breastfeeds for longer. They also are obsessed with the notion that small breasts just do not make as much milk as large breasts. I was never ejected fromor a store, resturante or from the train or bus for breastfeeding. The people either did not care or were just surprised to see an American breastfeeding. Most said that they did not think that Americans ever breastfed. So much for our image in Japan.
