-- [ From: Nancy Coulter * EMC.Ver #2.10P ] -- When my husband and I were graduate students at Utah State University 22 years ago our first child was born at the local LDS (Latter Day Saints) Hospital. We were far from home and knew few people in Logan but the notice of the birth was printed in the local newspaper. The first 2 weeks my son Garrett and I were home from the hospital the local church group got together and brought us casseroles every night. Garrett, of course had mother's milk, but my husband Dean and I enjoyed the hot meals. I will never forget the warmth and caring of those women to a stranger in their midst. We weren't members of their church or their community but they knew the universal needs of a new mother and her family.
