Thought I'd condense all these into one response which will be easier to read: Dear Kathy P in San Antonio- I have an OB and a Pedi who will bill Medicaid for a " Physician supervised RN visit" when I do a consult on their patients. Usually the hospital or office staff will call me to come see the patient and I have and agreement w/ these Dr's. about if I see them then dictate or write a consult note for the chart and / or office record they will do the billing. It helps to point out that you are saving them money because you can help Moms early thereby preventing problems which can result in another hospital visit etc... . This might help you out some. Medicaid sometimes pays, sometimes not... Most of the time I get some reimbursement. The hospital may require you to be credentialed and demonstrate U.P. and CPR etc. Good Luck +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dear Janet and Kathleen: Thank you for recommending the LC's I have passed the info on to my preemie mom, she is now a good friend. We are waiting for the baby to mature some more before attempting Brfd again. Meanwhile lots of kangaroo care... I wish I could go to ILCA and meet all the Netters. Not in the budget this year I went to ICEA in St. Louis instead. You will be in my prayers. Leslie Andrews
