Pardee - Neither my husband nor I have attended a LLLI Physician's Seminar before. I've been going to LLL conferences for ten years and have attended three LLLI conferences. My husband has spoken a number of times at LLL conferences. (Advance publicity: he will be speaking at the LLL of Mass, RI and Vt conference next spring. I think his talk is "BF and The Immunology of the Gut".) I will be interested to see how "professional" the physician's sessions will be. I believe that one of the problems that we always face in LLL is that we are on the cutting edge of bringing bf and parenting issues to the public, and so we are seen as flaming radicals. But so much of what we talked about years ago is now accepted - nursing for a year or more, for example. This issue comes up about LLL meetings too. Do we discuss toddler nursing, tandem nursing, the family bed, etc and risk alienating new moms? Or do we bring them up anyway, because most likely if they don't hear support for it from LLL they won't hear about it anywhere. Cynthia
