Yes, I have a copy of the Righard film the three scenarios are an infant
placed on the mother's abdomen and after 50 minutes crawls to the breast,
self attaches and suckles correctly. The second group the newborn is
separated from their mothers initially for care, then returned if they were
from an unmedicated birth they would self attach but frequently have a
faulty suckling pattern, the third group in the study were from a medicated
birth and were too drowsy to self attach or suckle at all.  Interestingly
enough my colleague took the film in, some of the staff were very interested
others just got up and left. A good illustration I think, of the power of
deeply held beliefs.
