Recently on two separate occasions in two different health care facilities,
the MD refused to simultaneously order nystatin cream for a candidiasis
diaper rash and the oral suspension- mentioned something about too much in
infant's system. They opted to treat orally only and then when rash was not
gone in ten days they ordered the cream. Have I missed some new info
regarding this?

Regarding the horrendous practice of female mutilation-socially it is a
status symbol in certain cultures and the only assurance of finding a
suitable husband. The women have few alternatives. An excellent article in
New England Journal of Med Sept 15, 1994 issue p. 712-6. Also an editorial
in same issue on p. 739-40.
