I am working with a woman who have very, very large nipples. The baby is able to latch-on very well but appears to be having difficulty actually milking the breast with all the nipple in her mouth. Baby is currently 18 days old. Mother has been pumping but cannot afford the cost of the Medela large flanges so I've taught her to hand express for some of the pumpings. Her milk supply is excellent. Baby's palate is broad and deep but she is still small. Any hints, suggestions to help me keep her going a little longer until baby grows into her mommy's large nipples?
