I found the info on the films, as well as a possible address. Somebody else may have more info? I originally saw these at a Southeastern Lac Cons Association (SELCA) meeting. The tape has 4 short films: BREASTFEEDING REDISCOVERED (1985) Two leading pediatricians, Dr. Natividad Clavano from the Phillipines, and Dr. Yngve Hofander from Sweden present a look at the effects of hospital practices on bf initiation and duration. FEEDING LOW BIRTH WEIGHT BABIES--A video made by UNICEF/ESARO/IBFAN-Africa in 1986 which takes a look at the practices in two major hospitals in Kenya in the feeding of low birth weight infants with their mothers' breastmilk. Bf in Kenya is shown to protect babies from the risks of early death and poor health. Infants too weak to suck directly at the breast are fed by cup or tube. [This is the main one with cup feeding, I think] MOTHER KANGAROO--A LIGHT OF HOPE was produced in 1988. It deals with the new technique pioneered in Columbia to ensure the survival of premature infants. BREASTFEEDING--A GLOBAL PRIORITY is a 1988 video production which takes an overview of the positive impact of bf programs in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Total running time is about an hour, I think. I didn't have an address with that description, but I found another address for UNICEF Baby Friendly stuff that might work: US Committee for UNICEF Attn: Anita Mallya 110 Maryland Ave., NE, Box 26 Washington, DC 20002 ph: (202) 547-7946 Anybody else seen these?
