Reading Supporting Sucking Skills by Genna. The book states that a swallowing ratio of one to three sucks per swallow is normal. But I thought that was for mature milk and colostrum was 5 - 10 sucks per swallow. Does anyone know if that is true? I have heard some people say that this is not enough swallowing and a sign of non nutritive sucking. But I think it's normal during colostrum for baby to have less swallowing. I would love other people's opinions. Thank you.
