The IBLCE Scope of practice says that IBCLCs have the duty to 

    "Provide holistic, evidence-based breast-feeding support & care"
    "Provide evidence-based information regarding complementary therapies during lactation and their impact on a mother’s milk production and effect on her child"

Whatever information does or does not exist is to be provided. We are not precluded from the use of complementary therapies.
