I tend to agree with the poster who suggested finding / fixing the clamping
down. I think if vasospasm is the result of nipple trauma, and not
Raynaud's, the nifedipine is not indicated. Correct me if I am wrong, as I
could be.
Some reasons for clenching, clamping could be tongue tie, oversupply,
overactive MER, birth trauma. Sometimes using a warm cloth on the baby's
face/ jaw and or massage with some warm oil to the jaw prior to latching,
might help. Also co-bathing and biological positioning.
