First off, I already wrote the principal. My 14 year old son is taking geography this semester. They are currently studying pollution. He told me at 10 pm last night that the resource his teacher used yesterday said that breastmilk is one of the most toxic substances known to man. Whether that is a direct quote from it or not, that is what the take home message was to my son, who knows how imporant breastfeeding is. He didn't speak up in class to defend breastmilk (for that he was given a talking to by me lol). I wrote the principal to basically tell him of my disgust of the wrong information given to very vulnerable teens who see breasts as highly sexual, and now, that they can harm their children. I'm disgusted. The topic the day before in class was how bad for the environment bottled water is. Today is the last day of class. I fear that the information will not be corrected for his class, but I darn well hope this teacher is brought into the office to change his resources for the upcoming years of teaching.
