I often find I have clients who do not have much knowledge about breastfeeding or have preconceived notions about breastfeeding that are incorrect and/or myths. I try very hard to explore what people know about breastfeeding and encourage them to breastfeed at every pregnant woman certification I do, but I need some help. My go to question is "tell me what you know about breastfeeding," but I am finding that I am coming across people who seem embarrassed or uncomfortable with the idea of breastfeeding in general.

I am limited on time as I am a Nutritionist in the largest WIC office in Albuquerque, NM. I usually only have about 20min total to do a certification, but I feel it is really important for me to address these feelings and help soon to be moms because I am not sure they are going to get any other opportunity to do so.

What are your best practices to assist people in exploring those types of feelings? Any other ideas or advice is welcome.
