I suggest contacting the National Childbirth Trust who have a large UK network of trained breastfeeding counsellors. Having trained with them and having had the opportunity to compare their techniques with other international breastfeeding groups, I am of the opinion that NCT training is far stronger on counselling skills and the art of listening. The skill of counselling a mother in a caring, non-judgmental way, giving her confidence and listening to her concerns is a gift that can only be channelled into professional counselling whether it be paid or voluntary by training in the framework of a supportive group and with personal supervision from qualified tutors who serve as mentors. www.nctpregnancyandbabycare.com Wendy Blumfield *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html To reach list owners: [log in to unmask] Mail all list management commands to: [log in to unmask] COMMANDS: 1.
