I found this interesting quote about the sexting scandal that really seems would be appropriate in many ways on the topic of people who find breastfeeding in public offensive.

A near naked human body and the suggestion of desire for sexual contact (with no physical contact unless the recipient so desires it) can only be offensive if the viewer CHOOSES to be offended. Otherwise, it is a simple sexual telemarketing message from another primate. The receiver hits the delete button and blocks the sender. The rest is drama, a choice to be flattered, amused, shocked or feel abused, made in the mind of the recipient. There is no physical danger. The naked human body and the desire for sexual contact are only as shocking as you choose to think they are.
