This needs to be brought to the attention of a paediatrician. The
various errors can be associated with various unusual smells in the
infant. Possibly best known is maple syrup urine disease, but the
various other errors can include signs of a mousy smell, a sulfurous
smell, a cabbagey smell, a rancid butter smell, a sweaty socks smell, or
a fishy smell.
