I'm an IBCLC working in a hospital setting in the Netherlands. I'm searching for literature about medical reasons to messure bloodsugars at a newborn baby. I understand premature/dysmature/diabetec mothers and since a fwe days "wasted" children but reasons in most hospitals in the Netherlands are also the children with a birth weight of more as 4500 gram and children older than 42 weeks.
I can't find an evidence for the last two reasons to check bloodsugars.

Is here anyone who has literature availlable aobout this subject or knows names or links were to find it?

Friendly greetings Annet Mulder IBCLC Almelo/Netherlands
