And were is the good doctors' proof that it actually does take more calories to breastfeed rather than bottlefeed? Actually there is quite a bit of evidence that shows that children at breast have better outcomes on heart function, lung function, temperature management and lower stress hormon levels. How can that be related to a perceived higher energy need? I think doctors will need to provide solid evedence for every interference with the physiologic way children function.
