I heard about Go-Lacta in a report from an LC who attended last summer's ILCA conference. I am retired but do occasionally get calls from family friends. Two women called me about milk supply issues and I suggested that they give Go-Lacta a try. One had a 15-month old baby and she had been very busy during the holiday period because of being 1/2 of a music team who were in demand during November and December. Her supply was way down and her toddler was not happy with just more solid foods. She noticed a marked improvement in her supply within a couple of days of using Go-Lacta. It is a potent nutritional supplement as you can see on the website Go-Lacta.com. This mom was grabbing anything quick in her busy schedule and was also separated from her baby more than usual. She is very glad that now that things have settled down she has more milk. Oh, and she said that her energy level was boosted too. The other mother had an "older" nursing child who wasn't breastfeeding very often. He has allergies, including eggs, so he was not a candidate for the H1N1 vaccine. She decided to see if she could bring in some milk to offer him some immune protection during the flu season. She did get milk after beginning Go-Lacta. (The little guy thought that it was neat.) She too found herself with more energy. I had occasion to suggest it to a lactation consultant recently and haven't heard if the Mom chose to try it. So you practicing LCs could consider trial-ing this product. I wish it had been available when I was practicing. It is in capsule form for convenience.
