They are getting them from just about every single pharmacy in West Queens--chains, independents...everywhere. I agree they are dangerous, which is why we immediately switch any and every mom who says that the pump she has looks like a bicycle horn to either an Ameda or Medela at no cost to the mom. I have asked a few mom's how they clean it. They say they use boiling water, add a small amount of dish soap and swoosh. The problem is so pervasive that we have decided to go after educating the fathers--who are frequently the ones filling the prescription.
