Hi ladies (and dudes) : I wanted to share something with you gleaned from my stint in politics back during the 2000 election cycle. A state representative from Missouri once told me that if he received 2-3 letters from constituents, it perked up his political ears. If he got 5 phone calls and/or letters, he would NOT vote against that particular piece of legislation. He felt those 5 calls and letter represented the tip of the iceberg in terms of what his constituents felt about a subject. I'm sharing this because so often we think we have to mount a massive campaign against a particular bit of legislation. In California, yes, you need more than Missouri. But please, call those politicians, because it really matters! Alison Jacobson (who decided yesterday she will sit for the 2010 exam. Wow.) *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html To reach list owners: [log in to unmask] Mail all list management commands to: [log in to unmask] COMMANDS: 1.
