Maybe too idealistic but how about: Have the assistant proctor walk the mother to the hallway to receive her baby, then mother, baby and proctors come back into the exam room. Breastfeeding mother sits in chair at back of exam room, nurses her baby, then proctor and she go out to hand off said child, and return to writing the exam. I would definitely be willing to have my exam fee have factored in the few times that a proctor is needed for a breastfeeding mother. I figure I'm already paying for one for bathroom breaks. But mostly I feel it's part of my moral obligation to support breastfeeding dyads. And with 3000 people taking the exam a year at several hundred each, my estimate is that it wouldn't be a significant amount more.
