Dear all,

Against the stream of comments here, I sent a mail to Medela today, saying that I feel their brochures are not bf-friendly.
I offered my editorial expertise to improve them... and told them I want to be paid for that on an hourly basis!
Yes, I've asked Medela to pay me to contribute to the process of improving their documentation and work on changing attitudes.
Don't laugh: I remain full of good hope and trust in other people and in a willingness to learn as long as the tone is right.
Who's gonna throw the first stone at me...? ;o)

Warmly,

Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands (curious as to whether Medela will accept the offer or rule me out as ridiculously bold... ;-) And yes, Rachel, WAY, WAY too much stuff is sold on the one hand and way too little on the other, as many women might have returned to full breastfeeding, had they used the right equipment along with OF COURSE good quality counselling/consulting that I intend to 'sell' as a pplc)
