If you look at the archives, we have discussed this at length, and I have copied the entire letter from OSHA therein. The original request to OSHA came from ILCA in 1991. We have a letter (JCAHO also has it) which is in my files at home (I'm on the road teaching) stating that breastmilk is NOT a biohazard according to OSHA, and does not need to be treated as such (i.e. no gloves needed, no special refrigerator with biohazard signs all over it, etc). But if you want that, please check the archives -- we probably went round and round with this about 2 or 3 years ago -- I'm thinking most likely 2005 or 2006.
