Well, it does have a lot of different hormones in it, in low amounts, but they must have some effect --- if one looks at the increased breast, ovarian and prostate cancers from dairy consumption, and the increased IGF (insulin like growth factor) measurable in dairy consumers. I assume the hormones might be even more active in raw? As to Debbi's comments about Brucellosis, who knows if it was real or not but farmers have learned a lot since then and raw milk farmers are very conscientious. While various errors are found all the time with commercially processed milk, there is no proven incidence in say the last decade from organic dairy farms (there are accusations that get media attention but that end up to be unproven and unlikely). One actually has to raise healthy cows if they can't use antibiotics regularly. linda *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html Mail all commands to [log in to unmask] To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or [log in to unmask]) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet or ([log in to unmask]) To reach list owners: [log in to unmask]
