Jaye, I know this has been discussed on Lactnet in the past, but I couldn't begin to guess what you'd search for in the archives. Mere "co-presence" of the formula mfgrs shouldn't deter you from exhibiting at the expo. Indeed, yours may be the only positive image of breastfeeding that these young families receive all day. I remember suggesting at the last go-round on this topic that the lactation consultant have a big poster printed up that says: "Ask Me About Your Free Baby Gift!" (the answer being, of course: your breastmilk.) Maybe make up freebie stickers for mothers-to-be that say: "I plan to give my baby the best gift of all: breastfeeding!" You get the idea. Have a nice poster or two comparing the elements in breastmilk vs. formula -- since you know that is what our fellows down in Similac Land will be doing. I think it was Jeanette Panchula who described a poster used in WIC trainging, with Lego blocks stacked side-by-side, showing the elements in breastmilk vs. formula. Naturally, the breastmilk stack was much higher. You might even have some blocks there for toddlers to play with while the parents are talking to you.
