Hello all you experts out there. I am in need of some help solving this breastfeeding issue. I have never personally met this woman since she lives across US from me, but she has tried to get some help and not been able to find any answers. She gave me permission to post her email to me. (it is below) "I nursed my first 2 for a long time (one for 2.5 yrs and the other for 2 yrs) and expect to do the same for this one. I do have a question for you When I stopped nursing my daughter, which was about 4 yrs ago, I had to cut her off cold turkey. I had lost way too much weight and she was a greedy little girl. In the process, I had a lot of trouble with engorgment (imagine after 2 yrs!) and had a really tough time. My left breast in particular. Ever since then, my left breast has had a problem with a slight yellowish "dry" discharge. It is a very slow process and just looks like a clogged duct that I can remove and it builds back up again over time. Now, I have been to 2 doctors about it, including a breast specialist and they have no ideas. Have you ever seen this in any of the Mom's you have dealt with? Sorry, if this sounds terrible, but I am guessing that you have seen a lot of breasts and it would be all in a day's work to you. When I research it, the only thing that I find on the Internet is Paget's Disease, so hope that isn't it! (I then briefly mentioned bleb and this is her reply below) OK, I had to look up bleb to see just what that was. What I have is more like something that (if left there) will turn into a yellow scab almost. Then I can peel it off, which I hate doing because it really makes me ill to begin with. " Any thoughts?
