Hello to all, I am looking for info on which smoking cessation medications are most compatible with breastfeeding. Our hospital, like many others, is looking to be "smoke-free" within a month. I would like to be proactive, and have a "list" of most accepted, least accepted, to present to the OB/GYN's and the pediatricians, so that breastfeeding will not be "sacrificed" when these meds are being ordered to inpatients and those might be seeking treatment during pregnancy. Even though Hale has information listed, it will probably be up to use to disseminate this information. I am currently working with our pharmacy as well to gather this info. If any of you have already gone through something like this, as I know this initiative seems to be slowly sweeping the country, please e-mail me privately if you wish.
