She said: "I didn't realise the local statistics were so high. Parents' greatest worry in the first few months is the survival of their baby and parents need to have the best advice to ensure they give their child the best start." Is it possible to inform the coroners, the MP Mary Creagh, and others, through the media or other ways, that their concerns are appreciated and then include data about when it is dangerous to sleep with a child and how to do it safely? Also, might one dare to point out that there are many more infants who die because they are fed formula? The coroners, the MP Mary Creagh, and others might consider a strong response to that by calling for the banning of formula - because it most likely, not only causes hundreds of infants' deaths, but also hundreds of thousands of infant illnesses and diseases in the UK. I would be interested to know their responses if the last sentence: "Parents' greatest worry in the first few months is the survival of their baby and parents need to have the best advice to ensure they give their child the best start" is used to make a point about the dangers of formula. Where is the public outcry to stop its use? Parents need to be made aware! Is that Government's responsibility? Janice, thank you for making us on LACTNET aware of that article.
