I read the article and my take is that the author was commenting on the crass commercialism that intrudes our daily lives. She seemed to be saying that the advertisements were poorly placed and took away from the images documenting the human trajedies and disasters that marked 2005. I feel she was stating that it was offensive to see an emotionally charged picture of a mother breastfeeding next to a tasteless ad for viagra. The ad in her opinion, was tasteless, not the breastfeeding photo. *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
