Well, my 22-month-old daughter doesn't just have a gap, but last week she entirely knocked out one of her top front teeth!!! She can't get a "spacer" aka fake tooth for a few more months at least so this is something we have to deal with for the time being. Yes, I know, THIS DOES HURT!!! Ugh! The only thing I have figured out so far is to unlatch her and relatch everytime it starts hurting. I am also 35 weeks pregnant but I don't think that has anything to do with the pain I feel when this happens. I think it just hurts---period!! My daughter also has a sloppy toddler latch and we have been working on that for months. Basically by going back to basics. Open mouth wide, stick out tounge, I make sure her lips are flanged (sometimes I have to adjust them), and I use the U-hold or C-hold for my breast when I latch her instead of just letting her do it herself. I have no experience with tandem nursing yet--but give me a few weeks here and I guess I will :) Christina Costa, LLLL, Broward County, FL _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
