Hi All, One more update - even more fascinating (to me) than the last one. Mom spoke with the Neuro today - it isn't a section of the brain that is delayed or behind in growth - it is the whole brain! He called it delayed myelination. The brain itself in intact and normal - other than the fact that it at the development stage of an 8mo old fetus. So, we have a baby with an 8 month old brain and an 11 mo old body. Neuro suggested that the partial placental abruption could be a factor as well as possibly moms diabetes - there were some other things that mom told me, but I wasn’t able to write the information down when we talked (in the car driving). Basically, we have more information and are still looking for the best education we can find on this subject. Any ideas? Thank you to all who have e-mailed privately - your support of me has been wonderful...your help is proving invaluable to my client and her baby.
