What follows is one of the bullet-point recommendations in the AAP SIDS & Pacifier use article. "Avoid commercial devices marketed to reduce the risk of SIDS: Although various devices have been developed to maintain sleep position or reduce the risk of rebreathing, none have been tested sufficiently to show efficacy or safety. " Aren't they now recommending another marketed commercial device (the pacifier) to reduce SIDS? Many others here have already pointed out the other logic flaws in AAP's recommendation so I need not be redundant. *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
