Hi all.
I live in a country like Italy where the National Health System does not
allow (yet) room for new professional figures like IBCLCs to operate in
public settings, and especially those not coming from the health care
system. In order to show "hard data" as a first step towards a change,
I need to gather any possible published evidence on the positive presence
and impact of IBCLC lactation consultants in hospitals (nurseries and
NICUs, other wards) and and birthing centers.
Any input by colleagues from Europe,U.S., Australia will be greatly
appreciated.
