Hello Wise Friends,
one of the moms in my LLL group called this evening. Seems her 3 year
old's hand accidentally intersected with her eye over the weekend. Mom
can barely see; having lots of pain, too. She is currently nursing an 8-
month old son. The eye docs are concerned with her continuing to
breastfeed while using the following eye-drops:
a. wetting drops
b. antibiotic drops
c. Xibrom (generic name is bromfenac, I believe)
d. Econopred Plus, which is a steroid/anti-inflammatory combo.

My Hale is at the office unfortunately. Have any of you worked with a mom
who'd experienced something of this nature? I just can't imagine things
being used in the eyes as potentially harmful to that baby. She's
supposed to use these med for 3-5 days.

Many thanks for any info you can share!
