I am wondering if a mother who is nursing her toddler 2-3 times a day, then delivers prematurely, approximately 32 weeks, if she will still make colostrum. Everything I read about tandem nursing keeps specifying that the milk changes over to colostrum in the last few months of pregnancy. What if a mother delivers before this time? Will she make colostrum, and then the next question is if her milk will be geared toward the premature infant or not? Any help or resources would be very appreciated.
