When I don't read the digests every day, I sometimes find there are more than 3 items I would like to comment on. What I try to do is make a note each time I read something that sparks a response. Then I don't delete that digest just yet. If after reading everything that has backed up, I still want to make the comments, I will compose and send them. Many times I find that by the time I finish reading everything, someone else has already either answered the question, or made the same observation that I was going to make. (In fact, when I don't wait, I frequently find that someone has already covered it and then my face is red-glad these messages aren't in color!) I notice that some LNers combine several topics in one post which may or may not be an appropriate solution. In general, I do like the limitation as it does make me think twice about whether I really want to "use" one or save it incase something else comes up that day that I have more need/desire to say.
