My daughter who sells breastfeeding and other bras at our bra/prosthesis store mentioned she was test wearing a discontinued underwire style from a major manufacturer to see if she should stock up in her 38DD size. In comparison, she has another fashion black underwire nursing bra that is quite expensive. Up to recently, she only wore a soft cup, non-wire style from an entirely different bra manufacturing company. Her baby is 1 year old now and eating some solid finger foods and my daughter does not feel as full in her breasts. But the comparison she mentioned was in her MER. The bra being discontinued is deeper in the cup and puts less force onto her breasts/nipples versus the very expensive one that is like a minimizer style, diagonal seam, and a shallower cup. She says her baby, my granddaughter, gets a quicker reward when she wears the deep cup bra. She has been observing this the last few days. I wonder how many other breastfeeding mothers may have noticed this effect from a switch in bra style?
