In our area (southern NJ) as of 5 years ago the RN/IBCLC I know was getting less than an RN. 20 years ago I was paid pool RN rates (no benefits) as an RN/IBCLC. I think it depends on the contract worked out. I personally feel the salary of an IBCLC should equal the salary of an RN, whether or not she is RN or not. The IBCLC certainly does direct patient care for mother and baby! Would make an interesting study :-) Pat in SNJ *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
