>Dee Kassing BS MLS IBCLC <[log in to unmask]> >Please remember that I said amblyopia--which is one type of eye >problem, not all--*predominantly* occurs in bottle-fed babies. Dee, Do you have any references for this? Since my son's diagnosis, I've read a lot on amblyopia and haven't come across any information on infant-feeding method having any bearing on it. I suspect it'd be a tough thing to study. Amblyopia's not extremely rare---something on the order of 2-3% of the population---but there are several causes. And, given that bottle-feeding predominates, the majority of this 2-3% would have been bottlefed. My head aches thinking of the stats necessary to detangle causation from correlation, but I soldier on because I am insatiably curious. :-) Thanks in advance! regards, Julia Julia R.
