Mother seen 2 days postpartum with *large* skin tag on right nipple. It grew during previous lactation 2 years ago and grew more during this pregnancy. It now looks like extra nipple tissue dangling on a pedule about 1cm long. There does not appear to be any milk ducts and it has no sensation but it does twist in her bra. She folds it back out of way when latching and it doesn't seem to interfere with milk transfer even though it appears at side of baby's mouth. Mother is keen to have it removed after baby weaned (whenever) but I wondered about baby biting, pulling or tearing it when older. Has anyone had experience of removal during lactation. I checked the archives and see this ? before but no answers. Mother has given permission to post and to send photo if required for comment. Please reply to me direct.
