Just had a rather heated discussion with a pharmacist who dispensed this new drug to me (we are going to Mexico for a family vacation and I want to be prepared). The handout that came with it states "This antibiotic is not absorbed into the bloodstream. It stays in the stomach and inestines only." On the bottle is a bright red sticker: Do Not Use this medicine if you are breastfeeding. How dumb is that?! Honestly, you'd think someone with that much education would be able to think that through, wouldn't you?
