I have been doing some web-surfing regarding pregnancy and DHA
supplements. ( because a formula rep. has introduced a "new" DHA
supplement in some "free" gift bags for the moms - with the obligatory can
of formula included). Interesting is the fact that the mothers in the US
are typically low in DHA levels, and that supplementation during pregnancy
and breastfeeding has been shown to decrease post-partum depression. Even
our most pro-breastfeeding MD's like the idea of using the long-chain
fatty acid supplements. Of course, I also mentioned that adding flax-oil
to the daily diet would acheive the same goal without the high cost.

Has anyone else looked into this supplement?
