I am not sure which of these two items unnerves me the most:

These strange new mesh feeding bags for preventing choking.  I had never
heard of them until our health unit's dietitian showed me a picture. I know
these are used therapeutically for children with dysphagia - but for
average healthy babies? Very concerning in terms of development - babies
need to learn to handle foods and it can't be pleasant to suck on a mesh
bag.  Has anyone had experience with these devices?
